This pack is only as good as it's leaders- and we depend on each and every one of them on a regular basis. The information on this page is intended to assist them in any way possible to keep the pack running as efficiently and effectively as possible. If you can't find what you are looking for, please don't hesitate to contact our cubmaster.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PACK 125 LEADERS
All leaders in scouting are required to undergo Youth Protection Training (not just den leaders- any leader in the Pack). This training can be taken online at MYSCOUTING.ORG. If you have your scout ID card, please use the number on the card on your account to track your training. If you don't have one, then you can still take the training. BE SURE AFTER TAKING THE TRAINING YOU PRINT OUT THE CERTIFICATION AND BRING IT TO OUR CUBMASTER OR TRAINING CHAIRPERSON.
Also, St. Joseph's requires all leaders to fill out a Volunteer Covenant Agreement to be turned into the church. You can print this out and turn it into Basecamp.
Den leaders need to take the Den Specific Training on the myscouting.org website as well. Please be sure to print out your certification and give it to the Cubmaster or Training Chairperson.

Our pack uses a software system, Packmaster, to track the achievements of our scouts. It is necessary that our Den leaders keep the information for their scouts up to date so that their advancements are tracked properly. There are two versions that we currently use- a standalone version and a web-based alerntive. Both methods keep the data synced so that everyone has the most current information.
Packmaster can be installed on any Windows computer (there is no version for OS X on a Mac or any iOS devices- you must use PackmasterWeb for these environments). Installation is relatively easy:
- Download the application from here.
- Contact our Cubmaster for the file that contains liscense and password information (we no longer keep these online for security reasonse).
- Install the software on your computer system (directions are on the file we will send you). When you launch the software, it will check to see if the database is "locked"- this assures that two people are not working on the same data file at the same time and risk losing information. If you login and it tells you someone is using it, try back later or contact the user to see when they will be done.
The web-based version of Packmaster is new, and offers a quick and easy way to make updates to scout information for anywhere you have access to a web browser. You will need your username and password to login to the service (the Cubmaster will provide this for you) and any modern browser (including mobile device). Typically we grant access to the web version of Packmaster for our Den Leaders, Treasurer, Cubmaster, and Committee Chair.
